To say that AproposMedia ContextPlus is a browser-based advertising delivery system and a web browser hijacker would be correct, but unless you are familiar with such terminology it wouldn’t mean much to you. A browser-based advertising system means that your web browser is used to give you advertisements; in this case that means pop-up ads. Being a web browser hijacker, AproposMedia ContextPlus will change your home page and your default search page, and possibly redirect your search results.

AproposMedia ContextPlus tracks your web browsing activities and opens pop-ups based on the websites you go to. Also, the record of the web pages you have gone to are sent to AproposMedia ContentPlus’s controlling server. AproposMedia ContextPlus also has an updater as part of the program, which can silently download and execute arbitrary code from the controlling server.

As you can imagine, this program is a danger to your privacy and should be removed as soon as found.
