Virusresponselab2009 Is Getting A Bit Ahead Of ItselfThis is a featured page

By its very name, virusresponselab2009 gives itself away as a malignant program. Any and every program out there that shows that it’s a year ahead is bound to be bogus. It’s really a corrupt security tool, a breed of malware that’s in a class by itself. What separates these programs from other forms of malware is that it uses spyware technology to rip you off. Unfortunately, while you may save yourself from getting your identity stolen, once you see the signs of the scam, you already have an infection that you have to deal with.

Malignant security tools are transmitted either by infected websites or by infected downloads. While you can minimize your chances of getting infected by avoiding these situations, it’s not one hundred percent effective. The only one hundred percent guarantee of avoiding these infections is what your antispyware software provides you. Chances are, if the download is allowed, or if you’re allowed to get on one of these sites, your antispyware program isn’t working at one hundred percent. You need something better.

Usually, the infected websites will be pornographic, online casinos or online pharmacies. While it may be easy enough to avoid these things, it should also be known that seemingly innocent sites are infected. In particular, every rogue security program has a home page where people can get infected. There is no sure way of knowing if a website is infected or not.

The download transmissions, more often than not, are from peer to peer file sharing and pirated software downloads. Aside from infection from corrupt security tools, there are other dangers in being an Internet pirate. For one thing, you can also get infected by viruses, worms and Trojans from this. For another, it’s illegal to download pirated software and media.

It’s not only a matter of keeping your computer safe in avoiding these practices. It’s a matter of keeping you out of prison. The thrill of Internet piracy ends when you get infected or busted. It’s just not worth it. Unfortunately, it’s still possible to get infected from other downloads as well. Being savvy just doesn’t cut it anymore.

However you get infected, the pathology works out the same way. First a pop-up “warning screen” appears on your computer. It will always tell you that your computer has “infected files,” which are really your temporary files. It may even count them at high speed to give you a sense of urgency. These files aren’t infections; they’re merely a record of your Internet browsing habits. Possibly bad news in the wrong hands, but they’re otherwise safe.

After it’s done alarming you, it will tell you that it can clean up this infection if you buy the full or registered version. If you’re not already at the home page, it will direct you there. You may notice that it’s asking twice as much for its product than everyone else is. Well, it IS an emergency, after all.

Turn off your computer now and buy a real antispyware program. If you buy this one, you just lost money on a worthless program, maybe all of your money. Don’t get ripped off.
