I hate adware. I really hate it. I finally found a way to really get rid of it. Too bad it took getting infected with Themeadp to get there.
Themeadp is one of those pop up adware programs. I don’t know what it’s advertising, since it’s all in Chinese. I haven’t had any use for learning Chinese beyond the word “Chow Mein.”
I got it by downloading this free gaming program. At least I think I did. I read that Themeadp comes in a bundle with free software, so that’s my only guess.
Anyway, I noticed that my computer was acting grouchy. It was taking a long time to open my browser. The next thing I knew, the Themeadp pop ups came along. I rebooted my computer.
This didn’t help any. I saw all these errors come up while it was rebooting. I thought for sure that I had ruined my computer somehow. I was officially scared of Themeadp.
I thought I had the worst infection possible. I thought I was going to have to take my computer to a maintenance guy. I called my friend, and he said to try this free online scan first. It found Themeadp, but the browser shut down before anything could be done about it.
At least now I had the name Themeadp to go with. My friend told me after the scan that I was going to have to buy a new antispyware program. He suggested this one called SpyZooka.
I went to SpyZooka’s site on my friend’s computer. I looked at what they had to offer. The price was good. The 100% spyware removal guarantee was even better. I was confident I could get rid of Themeadp this way. So I paid the money, and downloaded the installation program on a disk.
I took the disk home and installed SpyZooka. After the installation and updates, I ran it. It found Themeadp almost immediately. It killed it even faster. Now I’m spyware free thanks to SpyZooka.
