Pop Up Hell with Adware.cacb
You know what sucks about buying a used computer? Not knowing what it comes with and what it doesn’t have. I thought I’d save some money and buy a computer from someone I know. It turns out that they didn’t know what they were doing, and had the spyware program called .cacb. They also didn’t have an adequate antispyware program. I guess he just didn’t know that an antivirus program can’t fix everything that’s wrong, especially if it’s expired!
I knew something was wrong when I first booted it up for a test run. The first thing I noticed was, yep, it had pop ups. I don’t want to think of what he browsed for, but I will say this, he was apparently a very lonely guy! At least, that’s what the ads would suggest. I read somewhere that they track your browsing habits and change their ads to match what you’re interested in. None for me, thanks.
Okay, so first things first, let’s find a good antispyware program! I put in a search on Google for “100% Guarantee removal spyware adware” and I was directed to Exefind.com and found SpyZooka at the top of the list. Well, it was just below some test for an IT certification, but that doesn’t count.
I went to their webpage and really liked what I saw. With the Better Business Bureau logo and various five star ratings, it definitely seemed as though they have to deliver on their promise of 100% guaranteed removal. Now my big question was if it was easy to use. I know most antispyware programs are, but I’ve also had experience with programs that aren’t. So, I decided to check out how it would work with the unregistered version. Well, I have to say I was impressed. It ran faster than the software I was used to; significantly so. It did in five minutes what I’m used to waiting an hour or so for. Also, it was as easy to use as any other antispyware program. So far, so good.
I immediately downloaded the registered version. I must say, it worked like a charm. It cleaned up this computer and protected it from future infections. I especially like that I can feel secure in keeping up with the spyware updates. I am decidedly pleased.
