Not really. Antivirus 2008 will only bog down your computer and make it seize up as long as you have it. Maybe if you have Antivirus 2008 on there for a really long time, the seizing would eventually wear it down, but most people wouldn’t let it go that long. Hell, they would probably throw their computers away before then, or completely reinstall Windows. Just to be clear, you’ll probably never have to do either one if you have a good antivirus program. What the people who put out Antivirus 2008 really want is your money. They want to scare you into doing this, and as long as these programs are on your computer, they’ll keep scaring you, and maybe keep making money off of you. It doesn’t exactly follow then that they actually want to destroy your computer.
